We are looking forward to the fall semester. We plan to allow campus students to return in August. We will follow all state health and safety guidelines in the process (which also follow CDC guidelines). These guidelines will be made available for all to see. These will include such protocols as social distancing, wearing of masks where necessary, increased cleansing of facilities, no-touch temperature checks, and a daily five-question health survey. We will continue to monitor state and federal announcements and make adjustments as needed.

Also, since the coronavirus seems to increase during the regular flu season, we are altering our fall and spring schedules. Fall classes will start on Monday, August 10, 2020. We are canceling fall break and plan to have finals the Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. Students will not return to campus after Thanksgiving. We are also moving the start date for next January back two weeks and graduation back two weeks. Spring break will stay the same. This schedule allows our students to be off-campus during the most dangerous months for the spread of the virus.

Finally, we have decided to postpone this year’s Heritage Event. We do not wish to endanger any members of the Heritage family or our neighbors and friends. In addition, the current protocols that are required to ensure safety would prevent us from doing many of the things that make our Event so special.  It tentatively looks like we can move both acts to August 2021. We will announce the date when it has been finalized.
