Heritage Christian University presents Alumni Days 2023, “Soul Care” on March 9-10, 2023.

Ask any older minister what the most important aspect is of being effective in ministry, and typically the answer is the same across the board. “Look after your soul.” Maybe it has become a platitude to “serve out of an abundance.” We hear it and know it, but why do so many ministers and servants of the Lord burn out of ministry? There must be a better way to care for our souls! This year’s theme is focused on empowering you with the tools to care for your inner soul. Your soul must be healthy for you to help others to be healthy. This year’s theme is “Soul Care” and is inspired by Psalms 19:7:

“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

“Soul care is the daily process of cultivating healthy thought patterns and taking inventory of emotions so that you can walk in obedience and live freely before God while also healthily forming meaningful relationships with other people.”
