Integrate biblical understanding with prayer, worship, Christian character, service, relationships, and sharing faith.
● Equip parents and caregivers as the primary spiritual leaders in their homes through workshops, practical resources, and pastoral guidance that connect church teaching with daily family life.
● Research enduring and emerging challenges facing young families, listen directly to members, and lead the elders and staff in prayer and discussion about meaningful responses.
● Build intentional relationships throughout the young adult and young family group, including college students, singles, couples without children, and parents. Partner with current Young Family leaders to plan activities, retreats, and opportunities for spiritual growth.
● Develop intergenerational relationships in the congregation through mentoring, shared service, and fellowship with older members. Plan family retreats, marriage and parenting workshops, and milestone celebrations in coordination with relevant ministry leaders.
● Provide limited, short-term biblical and pastoral counseling for marriage and parenting concerns or crises within the minister’s training and competence. Maintain referral relationships and connect families with qualified professionals when needs require specialized or ongoing care.

2 Teaching and Worship Support

● Collaborate with Young Family leaders on class topics and co-teaching. Assist other ministry leaders in teaching Bible classes for children, youth, or adults as agreed.
● Coordinate monthly Family Devos for children in grades 2–6 and their families with the Children’s Ministry.

● Recruit, train, mentor, and appreciate volunteers for assigned family ministry programs and events, coordinating responsibilities with existing leaders.
● Develop appropriate community partnerships and outreach opportunities, such as service projects and neighborhood gatherings, within agreed ministry priorities and resources.

4 Administration and Accountability
● Develop and manage the assigned family ministry budget. Coordinate shared expenses with Children’s Ministry and Youth Ministry leaders within their respective budget authority.
● Coordinate ministry calendars, curriculum plans, and use of volunteers and resources. Communicate family ministry information through appropriate newsletters, social media, and announcements in cooperation with those responsible for church communications.
● Participate in staff meetings and congregational planning. Establish annual ministry priorities with the elders and ministry team, balancing relationship-building, preparation, teaching, pastoral care, and events.
● Review progress regularly using family feedback, participation, volunteer development, and evidence of growing spiritual practices and relationships. Initial priorities include listening to families and leaders, developing the discipleship strategy, and establishing a teaching and relationship-building plan.
● Follow church policies for child protection, confidentiality and its limits, and responses to urgent safety concerns, along with applicable reporting requirements. Establish pastoral counseling availability, scope, and referral procedures with the elders.

Associate Minister

Rogersville Church of Christ
450 College St., Rogersville, AL 35652
Full-time
Jun 29, 2026

Rogersville Church of Christ

Associate Minister Job Description

Associate Minister Purpose:

The Associate Minister seeks to provide a comprehensive, well-balanced Family Ministry and leadership to the young families of Rogersville. Ministries should be age-specific and ones that will seek to lay a biblical foundation that will win the lost to Christ and to help those who are Christians to mature in Christ and discover the personal gifts and abilities with which God has blessed them. Ministries should also be family-based while understanding the partnership between families and minister to supplement the teachings and example the parents are giving to their children at home. The minister aids in equipping the parents with tools, resources, and such that would be needed in helping to further the spiritual leadership in the home.

Vision of Family Ministry:

Thus, the vision of family ministry can be summarized in three points:

1)    Ministering to parents to help their families grow spiritually in the home while serving and leading together in their church and community.

2)    To work along beside parents to prepare the children of the church to become disciples of Christ who seek God in all things, who are willing to put others before themselves through service, and be disciples who will share their faith with others.

3)    While there are some similarities to the traditional aspects of “youth ministry”, our approach with this opening is less of a teen-focused effort and is more centralized in cultivating growth and education of the birth through preteen age groups, and the cohesive relationships that can be formed within those families and within the church as a whole. The foundation of a strong teen youth group starts with a solid family ministry.

Commitment to God and Self:

·         Lead by example. Be the best personal example of conduct as found in I Timothy 4:12, “…in conduct, in love, in spirit, in truth, in faith, and in purity…” and Titus 2:6-8, “…in being sober minded, showing a pattern of good works, showing integrity in doctrine, reverence, incorruptibility, and in sound speech.”

·         Conduct self and family in a Christian manner at all times remembering that example is the key to ministering to students and families.

·         Take time to nurture your own family not neglecting their spiritual and physical needs.

·         Continue in self-education through various classes, seminars, retreats to continue to grow in the work of Associate Minister.

·         Use an education quarter periodically to further your spiritual growth and maturation by attending an adult class.

Commitment to Students:

·         Plan and execute a calendar of events that reflects the vision of the Student Ministry.

·         Coordinate and schedule a devotional once a month for 3rd – 6th grade, and 2nd grade and down to promote fellowship.  These devotionals should encourage parent involvement and be used to foster relationships between these young families within the church.

·         Develop a plan, curriculum, and implementation strategy for the education of 6th grade and down classes. The Associate Minister is encouraged to seek guidance and aid in this development from other grounded congregations.

·         The Associate Minister will serve as lead coordinator for Lads-to-Leaders (L2L) and work in support of other coordinators to integrate youth activities with L2L activities where possible.  Together with the assistance of Deacons and parents, the overall plan and purpose of the L2L program at Rogersville will be reviewed and course corrected throughout the year.

·         Plan and execute a Family Vacation Bible School each year during the summer.

·         Implement “Bible Time” on Sunday evenings where 2nd grade down can attend class during worship time to continue to build upon curriculum learned from Bible classes

·         Visit the various schools of youth, as often as possible, to build relationships with students and peers of all ages, most particularly during their lunch period.

·         Conduct one on one teaching/counseling as needed.

·         Work with the young men to develop their skills and knowledge in being able to serve the church during worship (public prayer, singing, communion, etc.)

Commitment to Families:

·         Have a family-based ministry that understands the need for a partnership.  The backbone of the family ministry has already been discussed in the vision statement.

·         Teach Sunday AM and/or Wednesday PM classes on subjects/topics geared for the age group being taught. Specifically, the Associate Minister should minister to parents through leading a class aimed at young couples/families.  This class may not always need to be taught by the Associate Minister, but he should be heavily involved in the guidance and direction of the class.

·         Teach with an understanding and foundation of Christian biblical principles.

·         Provide opportunities for parents to speak with the Associate Minister about their children.

·         Provide opportunities, periodically, for parents to speak with the Associate Minister in a class setting on the issues that our student are facing and facilitating a discussion to include parents at various life stages.

·         Visit families in their homes or vice versa.

·         Develop a relationship with the parents of the youth, realizing that the position requires a willingness to be available to assist in counseling or help in a time of crisis.

·         Involve families in youth activities to instill an interaction with all ages and generations.

·         Meet/counsel with parents, as needed, without placing self in a compromising position.

·         Communicate with parents on a regular basis to keep them up to date with ministry news.

·         Help our parents understand the need to seek out intergenerational relationships for their children.

Commitment to Staff/Office:

·         Understand the importance of maintaining an office or work schedule that includes personal study time and prayer time, as well as, time to plan and organize for upcoming events.

·         Office Hours will be coordinated with the Elders, understanding the need for flexibility to visit schools, eat lunch with students or parents, attend school functions, visit members at home and/or in the hospital, etc.

·         Work with all Rogersville Ministers and Staff. Also, when possible, work with other youth ministers in the area to provide opportunities for our youth.

·         When in the office, work should focus primarily on ministering to students and parents.

Commitment to the Elders at Rogersville:

·         The Associate Minister is ultimately responsible and accountable to the Elders of the Rogersville Church of Christ regarding all actions and decisions.

·         Meet with the Elders at least once a month to discuss the work being done in the ministry, upcoming events, changes in schedule, curriculum, etc. Knowing that the Elders are the shepherds of the congregation and need to be in the loop to answer questions they may receive from others.

·         Be subject to a yearly review as deemed necessary by the Elders.

·         Understand the Elders have given a charge to Deacons to oversee the youth work who will serve as a liaison and mentor; therefore, communication and meeting together is essential to the work of the ministry.

Commitment to Rogersville:

·         Attend church events, when possible, giving special attention to the ones the Associate Minister has promoted.

·         Make visits to hospitals, attend funerals, and other necessary visitations to members of the congregation, but not limited to the students and their families.

·         Build relationships with the entire congregation while understanding the importance of forming bridges with all generations represented to help form an intergenerational church.

·         Preach on a regular basis.  Schedule to be determined in conjunction with Elders.

·         Share information in the bulletin to include upcoming events, community news, or what is deemed necessary by the Associate Minister.

·         Attend Elder/Deacons meetings, and Rogersville Minister meetings, as required.

·         Help foster a culture and environment where the congregation understands the need for an intergenerational church, intergenerational relationships, and intergenerational worship.

·         Work with the understanding that the Family Ministry is not a separate entity or sub-culture of Rogersville, but it is a part of Rogersville and the work that we are doing together.

Required Qualifications:

·         Biblically based and spirit-filled Christian

·         Experience working with young families in a ministerial role.

·         Preferred applicant will be a married man.  While the wife of a minister is not an employee of the church, it is desired that she follows a Godly pattern in supporting her husband and his ministry efforts and that she will be engaged in the activities of the church as an active member of the family at Rogersville.  Our vision for this couple is that she, too, desires to work alongside him in furthering the growth and cultivation of closer relationships of the younger families of the church, and that she would be active in helping with projects set forth in the family ministry.

Some comments about the church of Christ at Whispering Hills:

Located on the outskirts of the growing and thriving community of Broken Arrow, OK, Whispering Hills is poised to take advantage of this growth as communities continue to develop in areas surrounding church property.  The building, on a twenty-acre lot, was constructed in the early 2000s, and then expanded to add a fellowship area.  The present seating capacity is about 250.  Current membership is a bit over 100, with a mix of both old and young.  That Whispering Hills, noted for its friendliness, has something to offer is the fact it attracts members from over 20 miles away.  Generally, the membership has a cooperative spirit and a mind to work.  Potential is great.  With the right combination of leadership, preaching and service, much can be accomplished for the Lord’s Kingdom in this place.

Job Description for Lions for Christ Campus Minister—East Texas A&M University

Our ministry to college students was launched in 1957 and is located adjacent to the campus. From the beginning all the way to the present, this outreach has been overseen by the elders of the Commerce Church of Christ, assisted by numerous other congregations and individuals. It is called Lions for Christ (LFC), based on the mascot of our university. We consider it a true mission field at our doorstep as we minister to students from many areas of the United States and to international students as well.

The LFC is a family, a support system, and a Christian home away from home. We encourage anyone interested in a spiritual life to come join us.

Mission: To walk college students into a relationship with God and His kingdom

Ministry Goals:

●To share the word of God with all collegians on campus

●To make believers into imitators of Jesus

●To prepare followers to make more followers of Jesus

●To glorify God with our unity

Job Description

  1. The director’s main focus is to work with students who are members of the church of Christ, equipping them to recruit fellow students. Develop and instill in Christian students the zeal, knowledge, and skills for evangelism.
  2. Develop a utilization plan for the LFC facility. Maintain the facility.
  3. Make a special effort to visit each supporting congregation with a group of students at least once a year.
  4. Work out a student recruiting program with and through area churches.
  5. Assist our youth in making a smooth transition from high school to Lions for Christ.
  6. Prepare a monthly newsletter to be sent out to our supporters and prospective supporters.
  7. Develop Lions for Christ website to keep local and supporting congregations abreast of the work.
  8. Be active in raising support for the LFC on a continual basis.
  9. Meet with the elders as they request, or you may request to meet with the elders as needed.
  10. In May do an evaluation of the work and its direction, including student contacts, conversions, assessment of programs.
  11. Develop a plan of work and present it to the elders prior to the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Follow the plan and make elders aware of changes as needed.
  12. Manage LFC finances and make a monthly financial report to the elders and supporting congregations. It is vital that we be good stewards of the funds entrusted to us for the LFC. Check with the elders before making purchases over $250.
  13. Assist with area youth activities during the summer to recruit new students.
  14. Organize and develop area-wide leaders’ appreciation dinner each fall for our supporting congregations.
  15. Be a good listener and able to encourage students to make good and godly decisions.
  16. Work with university officials to maintain the rights and privileges of the Lions for Christ as an official student organization.

17.  Participate in special events where campus organizations are represented.

  1. Conduct your private life with honor, integrity, and godliness.
  2. Have fun with the students. Enjoy them, get to know them, and involve yourself in their lives. Go to their sporting events, concerts, and exhibits as often as you can. Be humble. Be patient. Be kind. Encourage and uplift them as often as you can but discipline them when you have to. Help them transition into adulthood responsibly. Challenge them to live for Jesus. Challenge them to live by faith.

Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000

Policies for Lions for Christ Campus Minister

1.      Preach the first Sunday a.m. of the fall and spring semesters in order for new students to hear you. Also be available to preach in Jimitri’s place when he is absent.

2.      Plan the devo for the 3rd Wednesday of each month. This involves selecting the song leader and two prayer leaders, plus a short talk (about 10 minutes) by you or one of the LFC young men. Those you select should be members of the church of Christ.

3.      Vicky Nichols, the church secretary, will serve as bookkeeper for the LFC account. An elder will sign checks for LFC expenditures.

4.      For financing student outings, etc., we encourage being conservative in spending. Flexibility is needed, of course, depending on how many are going and the ability of students to pay their way. For those who cannot afford it, scholarships could be provided, perhaps in exchange for services rendered, such as helping to clean the LFC building. For retreats and such, perhaps the LFC could pay for the facility rental, and the students pay for their meals.

5.      It has not been our practice in the past to pay for the campus minister’s taking courses at the university. If you choose to take courses, limit it to one per semester and check with the elders before enrolling.

6.      We would like you to attend area youth events in order to recruit students for the LFC.

7.      You may have two days off per week—the days of your choice with flexibility in view of the timing of LFC activities.

8.      You are allowed 14 days of vacation each year. Limit the time away to no more than 2 Sundays and 3 Wednesdays per year. You must use the time within the calendar year or lose the time. Vicky Nichols can provide you with the form to request vacation time, which is to be signed by one of the elders and returned to Vicky.

9.      The purpose of the LFC is to focus on the students attending East Texas A&M. This is our mission field. Instead of taking mission trips elsewhere, good alternatives include taking LFC students to visit in the local nursing home and our assisted living facility. Another opportunity for students to serve is Boles Home in our county, which provides care for children and mothers in need of a place to live.

College Evangelist

Harvest Field Church of Christ

Full-time

We’re seeking an evangelist with a servant-hearted man—someone who values teamwork over spotlight, collaboration over independence, and long-term growth over short-term gains. You don’t need to be a one-man army. Solid leaders and a focused plan are already in place, and the expectation here is not to carry everything alone. Unlike some congregations where the preacher leads nearly every facet of the work, we operate as a unified body with shared leadership and purpose.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a family-style approach to ministry, who builds trust through service and earns respect through humility and faithfulness—just as I Timothy 3:13 reminds us. Ideally, you’ll have a vision that spans years, valuing both short- and longterm goals in a congregation with a proven track record of meaningful growth and accomplishment.

As a teacher, your role is to bring truth at the right time with the right lesson. We trust teachers to be spiritually aware of what’s needed and craft messages that speak directly to the congregation’s current needs. Our quarterly teaching and preaching meetings provide a space to connect, plan, and encourage one another.

As an evangelist, we ask that you stay focused, prayerful, and effective – living in harmony with God’s will and maintaining a healthy balance between ministry, family, and personal life. We support spiritual alignment, not burnout.

To serve well and thrive here, you’ll likely possess:

• Ability to communicate and relate with college students and young adults

• Team-oriented mindset—willing to work alongside others, not alone

• A firm grasp of Scripture and ability to teach it clearly and faithfully

• Willingness to step into new territory and embrace bold opportunities

• A humble focus on the small things that matter

• Ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work

• A desire to plant deep roots and grow long-term with us

• Appreciation for collaboration and a shared mission

• Mission-minded and purpose-driven

• Steady and not easily discouraged

• Committed to peace and unity in the Truth

• Organized in thought and execution

• Biblically hospitable

• Intentional and responsive

• Comfortable using technology in ministry

• (Bonus!) Likes the Huskers—we know it’s not required, but if you’re open to it, we’re ready to help with the conversion process

About:  The Talladega congregation of the church of Christ was established the first Sunday in October of 1938. The congregation was first located at 410 Court Street North, but outgrew this location and a new larger building was constructed in 1954 at the present 416 East Street North location. Subsequent additions included an education building, library conference room. Also, existing classrooms and offices were remodeled at that time. In 1999 a fellowship building was constructed. Several capital improvements have been made over the years concerning roof replacements, parking lot addition, air conditioning systems, audio visual system, new signage, and new baptistry.

At present, we are a small congregation of about sixty (60), mostly older adults. We believe the Bible is the only guide. It is the foundation for everything we teach and do.

Pulpit Minister

CornerStone church of Christ
151 Ponderosa Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70819
Full-time
Jun 3, 2025

Greetings,

My name is George Myer and I serve as an evangelist (part-time) for the CornerStone church of Christ, Baton Rouge, LA.  I also head up a search committee as we are looking for a full-time evangelist/preacher.

Our congregation’s first gathering was January 16, 2022. We had 31 baptized believers who were committed to working and worshipping with us on that day. Today we have about 45. Although this is not extraordinary growth, we praise God for it. This growth has come from baptisms and from move-ins. Our goal is to find someone who can be evangelistic as well as help us in our outreach.

Our congregation is mostly Caucasian with 7 minorities. Our original members came about due to our former congregation splintering and our average age is about 53. Many in our Restoration Heritage would describe us as ‘Traditional’. Though I am not partial to that term it gives a general description of our direction that includes, Male leadership (we have 3 elders), A cappella worship, weekly taking the Lord’s supper, believer’s baptism after hearing, confessing and repenting, marriage is between the two genders, compassion toward the lost and a desire to save versus condemn (John 12.44-50).

The person who we will hire will have a desire to seek and save the lost, encourage and instruct the saints to do the same, able to preach and teach the word from the pulpit and at the coffee table. We have not put age or marital restrictions on our search criteria. We are much more interested in things like his heart, character, spiritual direction, a love for God and His Word, His people, the lost and solid doctrine. We are also looking for openness to being shepherded as well helping us shepherd.

Our financial position is strong and salary will be based on experience. We want our staff to be concerned with his role and not be overly burdened with financial issues.

We do have a website: https://www.cornerstonechurchofchristbrla.com/. Our mailing address is 151 Ponderosa Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70819.

My contact information is: gdmyer@gmail.com

            225-229-5830 is my cell number

Associate Minister

Burlington Santa-Fe Church of Christ
4393 US Highway 27, Branford, FL 32008
Full-time
May 2, 2025

Job Description:

The elders at Burlington Santa-Fe church of Christ are looking for a young and enthusiastic minister to head up our church’s education program. We have a growing youth, growing bible class numbers, and a dire need for organized curriculum and events for our different age groups.

We are looking to hire a full-time minister to organize curriculum, plan events, teach classes, organize VBS and youth rallies, hold bible studies, preach on occasion, and fill in for the head preacher, as needed. We are hoping this would be a great training opportunity for the minister to transition into full-time preaching.  The minister will work closely with the head preacher to plan scriptural lessons, sermons, and organize our youth programs and events.

We expect the minister to hold regular office hours, make themselves known and recognizable in the community, and carry out the duties listed in this job listing. We are excited to hire someone who is energetic and willing to lead our congregation into further growth.

About Our Congregation and area:

Burlington Santa-Fe is a growing church located on the outskirts of Branford, Florida. Branford is a small town located right on the historic Suwannee River. Our church is also less than 5 minutes away from the Santa-Fe River, and the Ichetucknee River. Locals enjoy a number of outdoor activities in the beautiful state of Florida, including going to the river, fishing, hunting, hopping the numerous fresh-water springs nearby, going to the beach, and attending and participating in sporting events around the area.

Located in a conservative, rural community, our town mimics the culture and climate of other small towns in the “Bible Belt”. Prayer is still recited before sporting and community events, churches are on every corner in our small towns, and most community members are believers.

There is still great opportunity for growth in the area. Burlington Santa-Fe pulls congregants from many nearby communities – other small towns like Bell, Fort White, Dixie County, Lake City and Mayo. In the past several years, we have seen the Sunday morning church attendance grow from roughly 100 members to 160 members on average… Most of which are young families. We are eager to see what the future holds at BSF, and we are looking for a devoted minister to help in that growth.

Duties of the Minister:

·       Set a Christian example for the church and members of the community

·       Work with the elders and deacons to carry out the church duties

·       Meet at appointed elders/deacons meetings

·       Meet with the head preacher to coordinate meaningful classes and lessons for the church

·       Regular church attendance is a non-negotiable

·       Hold regular office hours

·       Preaching part-time

·       Teach Sunday/Wednesday night classes

·       Hold/assist in bible studies

·       Visit the sick, elderly, and shut-ins

·       Door-knocking and evangelizing in the community

·       Plan and organize the youth curriculum

·       Meet periodically with the classroom teachers to assist in their needs

·       Organize VBS and youth rallies

·       Plan devotionals, youth nights, and other youth events to increase community engagement

·       Stay involved in the local community and events

Youth & Family Minister

Collinsville Church of Christ
201 Joshua Ct Collinsville TX 76233
Full-time
Apr 14, 2025

We have a great youth group at present.  We are looking for the right man to take us from where we are to greater things.  Over the past year our youth group has almost doubled.  This is the result of hard work in our community by our kids, their parents and our present youth and family minister.  Our present youth and family minister is moving on to other challenges and we need someone to come in and start where we are and go forward.  This area (a few miles north of Dallas, TX) is in one of the fastest growing corridors in Texas maybe in America.  There is tremendous potential for the glory of God and we think He would use someone to great things in his kingdom.  There is a GREAT opportunity for God’s man right here is our community.  Check out our website (collinsvillecofc.org) and see the work that is going on and the potential for the work here.

Annual compensation: Negotiable

Workweek time expectations: This position assumes an average work week of 40 hours with the understanding that ministry is not a 9 to 5 desk job. The youth minister is charged with knowing what he needs to get done weekly and managing his own work week towards that end.

Paid vacation: Two weeks for the first three years.  Three weeks after that.

Other absences: Our youth minister is encouraged to be a part of week-long events such as
camp and or similar weeks away. These weeks are paid, but not counted as vacation.

Anticipated involvement with the various segments of the church family:

There is no segment of the church population for which the youth minister bears complete responsibility.  The staff and leaders and families serve together in all areas.  Likewise, there is no segment of our population to which the youth minister has no responsibility.  He is first and foremost a Christian servant called to help minister to all the people in the congregation.  We ask him to focus his attention primarily on the teens, kids, and their families.

Truth for Today World Mission School
2209 Benton Ave Searcy AR 72143
Full-time
Apr 1, 2025

An Open Notification to Ministers of the Gospel:

Located in Searcy, Arkansas, Truth for Today World Mission School was established, in part, in 1983. It has grown through the years into a multi-pronged edifying and equipping work that is now reaching out as far as any effort among us. We write, process, and print a new 52-page, expository, study journal every month. We are addressing the language barriers of the world by translating many of our materials into 23 of the major and significant minor languages. We are closing in on completing the most expansive commentary set that our brotherhood has done. We now have 56 commentaries in print, and we will probably have 65 when we finish. We have an online school which has 517 courses in place, some of which are in 23 languages. This school is being received, in some degree, in 90 percent of the land area of the world. When it is fully developed with its 1,500 courses, it will be dedicated to giving the most Bible to the most people in the shortest amount of time.

Our need is this: We would like to put into place two preachers of excellent quality who will preach in connection with our work. They will each go out to the churches, both small and large, every other Sunday, telling about TFTWMS, and encouraging the brethren in their work. They will be winning the lost and inspiring the churches to grow and take on the world with the gospel. During the week, they will help lead TFTWMS in various ways. They will write and develop programs that will encourage congregations to live up to their potential. They will live in Searcy, AR, and have a study/office in the building of TFTWMS, which is located two-miles from Harding University. These are choice positions, and will certainly allow these two preachers to have a world impact with the gospel. The preachers must be faithful, of a gentle spirit, well-balanced, well-respected, and possessing a quality educational background.
