Howdy! I am Bradyn Black. My wife Jadin and I are currently looking for a good church home to help the youth grow spiritually and train the next generation of leaders in the church. I have always been heavily involved in ministry since I was in the youth group myself, and I had the privilege to work as a ministry intern in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Georgia. Let me start by saying that I am resigning on good terms from a congregation that I have spent the last 17 years with.  I am starting to explore what the next steps for my family will be.  I am placing this post up to facilitate conversations regarding potential possibilities.  I am looking for the right situation and will be taking my time in finding that situation. Ideally I would love to stay in the Bowling Green area so I don’t have to move my daughter and she can finish her high school junior and senior years at FCA.

I have been a pulpit minister for over 21 years.  I have been with only 2 congregations, the first for about 4.5 years, my last work that is coming to a close for 17 years. In addition to pulpit work I am a staff member for the local christian private school here in Bowling Green since 2018.  I spent the first few years as the upper school Bible teacher and this is now my 4th year as the school counselor.

I also do indvidual counseling (mostly telehealth) for a few clients.  I am a Kentucky Licensed Pastoral Counselor.

In addition to looking for a possible new located work I am looking for opportunttities to do fill in speaking and seminars, meetings.  Many find my ability, education, and experience in mental health and ministry to be a plus in guest speaking topics.

My wife is a licensed counselor in private practice, an active bible class teacher, and an active Ladies Day Speaker. She is also an author of several books. My oldest son is a recent Freed Hardeman grad currently seeking a youth minister position, my second oldest is a Sophomore at Freed, and my daughter is Junior in high school at FCA.

I am an Evangelist with a love for the church. I believe that our mission as the church should line up with God’s mission, to seek and save the lost. I believe that we can speak of the world and the wrong happening all day, but the reality is that no matter how corrupt the world gets our job remains the same. Let me take just a moment to share with you a little about myself and my journey. I am 42 years old and married to my loving helpmate Rhonda McDowell of six years. We have seven beautiful, amazing children.  Makela 21, Ryan 20, Kiara 18, Sean 19, Evan 15, Cameron 14, and Josie 9. I obeyed the gospel and was baptized and added to the body of Christ at 1st & Georgia Church of Christ and labored in Chickasha Oklahoma. Arlouis & Vickie McDowell are my parents, and they serve and lead at Magnolia Church of Christ in Duncan, Oklahoma where my father has preached and labored for 23 years. For the past 4 years, I have diligently studied God’s divine word and graduated through the Online Academy of Biblical Studies (OABS) directed by Chuck Northrop under the oversight of the eldership at Chipman Road Church of Christ.

My earnest and humble desire is to pursue kingdom growth as I strive for moral excellence in my study of the Bible. That I may have a surer understanding of biblical principles which is the standard of foundation and the truth that guides and directs my path Jer. 10:23. My motivation is one that is inspired directly from the mouth of God through his divine gospel truth. Jesus says Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo I am with you always even until the end of the World (Matthew 28:19-20). There are so many gospel preachers who have grown faint or become unfaithful in their service to the kingdom. I am so blessed and humbled to have the opportunity and privilege to do as God would have me to do as a steward of His divine word to “preach the word” 1 Tim. 4:2.
