What should be our response as Christians when we understand that Christ has set us on a way that not only leads to eternal rewards, but also gives us opportunities to lead the best life possible on this earth—the “abundant life”? Reaction to our blessings should not be pride, but gratitude. If we prosper—if we succeed—in this life, we have nothing to boast of, nothing to be proud about, because we owe everything we are and have to others,
and ultimately to God.
