The Federal Work-Study program provides jobs for undergraduate students who have established financial need through the submission of the FAFSA®. Students should file the FAFSA® by April 1 to receive priority consideration. Students who wish to continue as FWS employees must reapply annually.

Federal Work-Study assistance will be awarded first to those with the greatest amount of financial need if the demand exceeds available funds. Students must be enrolled full-time and maintain satisfactory academic progress to receive Federal Work-Study financial assistance. Heritage Christian University cannot guarantee positions for all students who are eligible for FWS. Positions are limited by departmental demands, and students continuing with the FWS program must receive a favorable evaluation from their supervisor each year.

FWS students are paid monthly. Paychecks may be mailed to the student, picked up by the student at the business office, or checks can be distributed to the students’ assigned mailbox. Since Work-Study earnings are paid directly to students, the funds will not be credited to student accounts for satisfaction of University charges.
