Heritage Christian University has an immediate opening for an employee to work within our Facility Maintenance Department. This is an entry level position.
To collaborate with the Facility Maintenance Director to provide for the proper operation and maintenance of the Heritage Christian University campus by ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of the facility. Under general supervision, the assistant performs general plumbing and electrical work on maintenance and helps with repair and remodeling projects. Applicant is responsible for seeing and reporting to the Director needed repairs in excess of the day-to-day needs of maintaining the various on-campus facilities which may necessitate seeking the services of a higher skilled crafts person. Assistant must be able to complete tasks assigned to him without direct supervision. Will be available to help move tables, chairs, desks, etc. to other locations as needed for special events. Sees that housekeeping chores are done on a regular basis.
- Organize daily work patterns around identified demands and priorities.
- To comply with Health and Safety regulations and safe systems of work, reporting of any defects immediately to V.P. for Operations.
- On a daily basis work on properties in order to provide a well-maintained, clean, physically safe, accessible and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
- To assist in carrying out maintenance routines both general and planned on a wide range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment.
