Mechelle serves HCU as the Distance Learning Specialist. She is involved in focusing on all aspects of Distance Learning, working to improve the quality of services provided, and assist in the enhancement of communication between the Enrollment Services Department, the Distance Learning Department, and the Distance Learning (DL) student. She also assists DL students and DL prospects with Financial Aid questions and requirements.

Mechelle, her husband James, and their two daughters, Jacoba and Jedesah worship at the Sherrod Avenue church of Christ, where James and Mechelle serve over the WBS ministry and Mechelle teaches children and ladies classes. Mechelle has a BA in Bible with a minor in Counseling from Heritage Christian University. She serves as a trained volunteer for Rape Response and in her spare time enjoys reading and freelance writing.
