Larry Murdock is the Director of Distance Learning and the Director of Institutional Research. As the Director he supervises the administration of the on-campus and DL video program, coordinates the activity of supervising faculty members, supervises students in four video courses, and works to continue the development of the program.
As Director of Institutional Research, Larry oversees the development and maintenance of the university's Assessment Plan. He also edits the annual Strategic Five-Year Plan which is published every July.
Larry received from Freed-Hardeman University an A.A. in Bible (1966) and the Third-Year Certificate (1967). David Lipscomb University awarded him a B.A. in Bible in 1968. He earned his M.A.R. from Harding University in 1981. He has earned a total of eighteen graduate semester hours in Counseling, and also eighteen graduate semester hours in New Testament.
Larry began preaching at the age of sixteen and has served as a minister among churches of Christ for over 36 years. He presently preaches for the Central Heights church of Christ near Florence, Alabama. He is the author of Spiritual Awareness Seminar and Inventory. Larry married Iva Nell Lee in 1967 and they have two children and four grandchildren. Iva Nell is employed with the Mars Hill Bookstore in Florence.
