Dear Friends of HCU,

Recently I read a statement so powerful that I felt I just had to include it in my new book, HOW TO MAKE YOUR LIFE COUNT.

The statement?

"Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you want, but you can only spend it once."

You see, it's not enough just to live and let live. Our lives must have meaning and purpose. I feel so strongly about making life matter that I began speaking on this theme years ago.

Friends and family kept saying to me, "You should write a book." I would always reply, "I'm a talker, not a writer." But as time went by, I felt the need to put my thoughts on paper and in the form of a book. HOW TO MAKE YOUR LIFE COUNT was published in the spring of 2006.

The Gospel Advocate was kind enough to publish a review of my book in August 2007. The review stated the following:
