Heritage Christian University incorporates Scholar 360, a course management system, and Tegrity, an online delivery system, to deliver online courses. Both of these web interfaces are designed to enhance the learning experience of HCU students both on and off campus.
All courses taken at the university require the use of Scholar 360 for delivery of course documents and testing throughout each semester. Instructors use the tools in Scholar 360 in varying degrees and for different graded assignments.
Tegrity allows a student to playback any and all class sessions recorded by the instructor, in part or whole. Tegrity audio/video is accessed through the link in courses on Scholar 360. Not all on-campus classes are recorded. Audio/video of the recorded classes can be streamed over the Internet, or in some cases downloaded to an MP3 player or Razor cell phone for off-line listening. Classes are indexed for easy navigation and may be searched by keywords.
