Heritage
Christian University exists to contribute to the evangelization
of the world, "Real World Ministry", and the building
up of the body of Christ by recruiting, training, and encouraging
communicators of the gospel. The graduate
program helps achieve this goal by building on the foundation
laid in the undergraduate program.

A 36-hour non-thesis program designed to
prepare students for more effective ministry.

A core curriculum consisting of 24 hours
in foundational studies in Bible, doctrine, and ministry.

A concentration of 12 hours to prepare
for more specialized service in the Kingdom of God

Master of Ministry with Counseling and
Ministry concentrations has no Biblical language requirements
and concludes with a practicum.
- Master of Arts with New Testament and Greek concentrations
concludes with a major Research Paper. For an example of the

A prospective student who has a Bachelor's
Degree in another field may gain admission to the program
in one of two ways: (a) By receiving the B.A. from Heritage

(a 33-hour program leading to a second degree in Bible) and
then applying for entrance to the graduate program. (b) By
entering the graduate program under the conditional acceptance
provision (see below) and taking the required undergraduate
courses as leveling work. The specific leveling courses required
will be determined in consultation with the Director of Graduate
Studies.
Prerequisites
In general, the Graduate Faculty wants
to assure that the students admitted to the graduate program
are capable of benefiting from it. For this reason, the following
prerequisites have been established for admission to the graduate
program at Heritage Christian University:
(1) A Bachelor's Degree in Bible from
an accredited college or university, with an undergraduate
major in Bible, including 18 upper division hours.
(2) A grade point average of 2.75 (on a 4.00 scale). With
less, the student can be accepted on probation. Probation
can be removed after the student completes 12 hours with
a 3.00 GPA.
(3) Taking the Millers Analogy Test*
within the past ten years. If the student has taken
the GRE within the last ten years or has a terminal degree
from an accredited university, this requirement can be waived.
No minimum score is required for entrance into the program.
(4) A completed application, including three positive recommendations
as to the applicant's ability to do graduate work and his/her
good character, along with a statement in the applicant's
own handwriting concerning his/her plans, reasons for doing
graduate work, etc.
(5) With the application, the prospective student must include
a non refundable fee of $25.00.
