Heritage Christian University developed its Distance Learning Program to meet the growing needs of students who wish to pursue an accredited Biblical Studies degree, but are not able to come to study in Florence, Alabama. These students are interested in completing their degree while continuing to work. The DL Program at Heritage Christian University is designed to bring the benefits of a biblically based higher education into the student’s office or living room. Though students may not be able to leave work and/or family responsibilities, they can pursue a Christian education at home.Program Features
All courses in the Distance Learning Program are taught by the same qualified instructors who teach in the campus program. Formats vary, but you can count on one thing– the highest quality theological education possible. A typical class relies heavily on the Internet as a medium of communication between teacher and student. Using the Course Management System Populi, you will receive your course materials, remain in touch with your professors and fellow students, participate in class discussion, submit assignments and view grades. Using the Tegrity course capture software, you will view audio and video lectures and instructional materials that are created just for you. These lectures and instructional materials are accessible almost anywhere a data connection is possible, including through cell phones. These technologies foster greater connectivity between student and campus and ensure the best possible educational experience.
