Heritage Christian University

Heritage Christian University Real World Ministry

Graduate

Heritage Christian University offers two master's degrees. The Master of Arts (M.A.) prepares students for serious biblical study in Greek and/or Hebrew, while the Master of Ministry (M.Min.) trains students for more effective ministry. Both degrees aim to prepare workers for more effective service in the kingdom of God.

Each student chooses a major field of study (12 semester hours, plus thesis for M.A. or practicum for M.Min.) along with a minor field (6 semester hours). Twelve semester hours of electives allow the student to concentrate more heavily on either the major or minor field of study, or to pursue education in peripheral studies offered in our program. The areas of study include the following:

For the M.A.:
• Old Testament/Hebrew Bible and Early Judaism (OT)
• History of Biblical Interpretation and Theology (HBI & TH)
• New Testament and Early Christian Literature (NT)

For the M.Min.:
• Ministerial Counseling (CN)
• Homiletics/Ministerial Care (MN)
• History of Biblical Interpretation and Theology (HBI & TH)
• Biblical Studies (BI)
